joeperry,

The easiest way to do it is to use this stuff:

http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip

If you search Youtube for 'Plasti Dip' you'll find people doing vehicle rims, logos and all sorts of other stuff, including motorcycle parts.

You can brush it on, but the easiest and best result is the spray can - you just spray it on like black spraypaint, let it dry and if you don't like it... peel it off!

Good luck and don't forget to post some pics

Here are a few pics of what I've done to my regular Tbird to black out some of the chrome ... sorry the lighting is lousy in my garage.

This one is my rear fender supports and rear signals done in Plasti Dip, belt cover and luggage rack powdercoated.

The tank chrome and headlight have been black powdercoated. The front signals and lower yoke are Plasti-Dipped

What if there were no hypothetical questions?
