Greetings,

The bearings MUST be removed.... the powder coating is heated to about 400 Degrees F. This would melt the grease in the bearing and make a mess of the powder coating it contaminated it. I seen the results of "shortcuts"... it's not pretty!!! You will need new seals for the bearings. If you are PATIENT you can remove them your self, with a Brass drift and plastic mallet. If you have never changed out bearing before, I would enlist the help of someone who has the experience...

Once the rim is powder coated it must be balanced again also!

The tire and stem must also be removed.
