You remember the older cars in the 70's and 80's that had the speedo that was rectangle? And the needle just went from left to right in a straight line instead of around in a circle on a dial? I remember riding in those cars and the needle would bounce like crazy - especially in the lower mph - or when it was cold, and then seemed to run better later - and what I found later in life having my own cars worked on is that it is the cable itself turning in it's sleeve, binding just a little so it spins in jerks instead of in one smooth motion - that is the kind of bouncing I'm seeing on my speedo needle. Now the question is - do we know if ours has a cable or is it electronic?
