Anybody have a "bouncy" Speedo?

My speedo needle wobbles or "bounces" at low speed - seems to be steady enough at higher speeds although it is a full 3 mph fast at 70. I don't spend a lot of time looking at it while riding because as we all know we have to tuck our chin to look down - however I do think I have seen it a few times kind of "stick" just a little coming down through 70 - it has never stuck like some guys have described where it sticks and stays, but I'm wondering if I should take it in - for a speedo replacement or if the service dept would just shine me on because it's still working "fine for now". Not looking forward to shelling the full cost of a speedo out of my pocket 2 months after the bike goes out of warranty.
