I did a multi day trip this past summer on a borrowed VStar 1300 with floorboards. I had never ridden a bike with them before... and it was weird.

Maybe its my size 12+ boots, but often when I would put my foot on the board, I'd pop the bike up a gear because my heel would hit the rear paddle. I found myself compensating by moving my heel away from the bike from a start... frustrating.

My Tbird has regular pegs, and I love them. Feels like a real motorcycle.

I wouldn't mind floorboards, but the first thing I would do is grind off the heel shift paddle.

Its a great thing that we have so many options in life and in motorcycling ... not everything works for everyone!

What if there were no hypothetical questions?
