On a related subject, does the lockable sissy bar and rack get easier to remove over time? Mine is so tight I have to jerk it hard enough to move the whole bike to get it off - thought I was going to tip the bike the first time.
The other day I installed my sisy bar backrest. After following the instructions I wasnt able to get it on the bike with any reasonable amount of force. I decided after checking the fit with the alinment tool that it was wrong and loosend the rear two bolts, installed it and then tightend the bolts. It now goes on and off in a reasonable manner.
