...I get a lot of great comments about my bike from pedestrians, and people who ride Japanese bikes. I have noticed though that Harley Davidson riders tend to ignore me. They look briefly at the bike, and then look away. Even if they talk to me they don't mention the bike. Sometimes you can tell by the look on their faces that they are interested, but it is almost like they can't mentally admit that to themselves, so they have to look away. It is actually quite amusing to watch. lol
That's funny...I get a lot of compliments/comments from Harley riders for the TB. I rode the TBird to Deals Gap last year and had many compliments from HD riders. What was funny is they ALL had a story (virtually the same one) from their past about a Bonnie they used to have and were more than happy to share it. I'll admit there have been the ones (but only a few) that just bestow "tolerance" for the Triumph. As one guy put it, "I can tolerate Triumph...at least GB was an ally." I will, however, say that even though I get a lot of compliments on my Kawasaki C14 also, it's never from the Harley crowd.
Better living through chemistry.
