11 miles per liter is under 44 mpg, not 50. Typical figures might be more on the order of 42.5 mpg. I typically get 45 mph on regular petrol when driving on relatively flat land or rolling hills. That is pretty good by me. Dazco has it pegged right. About 42 mpg and 45 on a good day. Depends on how and where you ride. If you want fuel averages, look on fuelly.com, motorcycles and Triumph Thunderbird (1600 or 1700). There are quite a few figures for the 1600 and now several for the 1700. If you look at a number of different riders, you can get an idea what you might get, depending on your driving habits. If you want to push a 1600, I can show you how to get 38 mpg. :-)
