US Storm, Canadian emissions

Hi all,

I'll be picking up my brand new, out-of-the-crate 2011 Storm tomorrow. When the dealer got it out of the crate, they noticed that it was a Canadian bike so all the emissions parts were in a box that could be installed to meet US requirements.

The sales guy mentioned it was an evap valve for the fuel tank, etc.

He asked if I wanted that stuff installed...and he mentioned that it wasn't a huge deal that it wasn't installed.

Thoughts on whether this stuff would void my warranty, or any other ramifications from this if I don't have this put on the bike?

Should I have them write up on my invoice that they didn't install these parts before delivery?

Thanks!

BW
