Just had the same experience twice this weekend. First time I was on the way to the dealer and rolling uphill to a stop sign when the bike would not downshift. Felt like the shifter was already at the bottom. The mechanic lubed the heel - toe linkage and took it for a test ride and could not replicate the problem. Happened again the day after on my way up a twisty country road. Time to downshift for the next curve and she wouldnt budge. I'm getting ready for a week long trip and this has got me on edge for sure. Mine is a 2010 1600 with 6000+ miles. I'll be back to the dealer tomorrow but concerned about their ability to quickly and correctly diagnose and fix.
