Greetings. Short recap ...

My bikes (history, not current inventory, and not counting basket cases):
* 1958 BSA Gold Star DBD34GS - bought in 1965
* 1963 DU507 Bonneville T120C - 1966
* 1966 Bonneville T120TT - 1967
* 1972 BMW R75/5 - bought new in Germany in 1972
* 1979 BMW R100T - 2002
* 1982 BMW R100RT - 2006
* 1988 BMW R100RT - 2009

While an undergraduate at UC Berkeley I worked at both Mother's Motors and TT Motors as a mechanic and machinist.

I have, because of my brother's death, recently inherited my old 1966 T120TT. in the '60s and very early '70s I had "tricked out" this bike:
* Nickel plated frame
* Ceriani forks
* Sonicweld Swing Arm
* Koni shocks
* Sifton 390 cams
* Mikuni carbs
* Mahle 11-1 slipper skirt pistons
* Lightened R tappets
* P&M pushrods, lightened and polished rockers, titanium keepers
* Kosman oil tank with spin on oil filter

and other stuff I really don't recall.

Anyway, the bike has come back to me and it is, through some 30 years of neglect and riding, in need of a lot of love.

So ... I've come here to see what shops/sources are good ones for getting parts and discovering sources that didn't exist 40 years ago (I still have my Hap Jones catalog from the mid '60s but that won't help much).

I do all my own mechanical work and just found, in a drawer, the Sifton 390's - most of the other stuff is still on the bike but needing teardown and repair.

I'm a full-time worker so the project of bringing this bike back will be a slow one - probably years ... and I may not start it this year at all but am interested in at least starting to think about it.
