I tried searching and it appears the Triumph part number for the oil filter for the 2016 Thruxton R is T1218001. Is this correct? I then looked up the part number and am getting PFKL2338009? I am a bit confused....
Also, what is the Wix oil filter part number as I believe they are quite cheaper and I know they are highly rated filters. Anyone recommend any other brands?
Any recommendations on what oil to use? I will be doing my 500 mile service myself as I ordered the DealerTool to reset the maintenance reminder icon.

Yup. Been reusing them for years with no leaks. If it gets a little deformed just run it over a flat file. Not cheap, just don't see the need for new ones.
If you order oil off Amazon, I'd recommend shipping it somewhere other than your front porch. I've had the unfortunate experience of them delivering oil and the packaging not holding up and spilling a quart of oil on my pavers. Not fun
samo filter on my air cooled 865 + T-120 + prolly all recent twins Wix or Napa gold sold locally about $7. i like 15-50's, real synthetic is best depending on your wallet!
