I'm not familiar with the mirror in question, but most people remove the expanding clamp from the mirror assembly and screw the mirror base directly onto the bar end using a slightly longer M6 countersunk bolt, leaving the existing end caps in place.
I have just fitted Halcyon bar end mirrors ( part no., 830 ) to my T120 and they look great. Although I have not had a chance yet to try them out on the road I am confident that they will be a vast improvement on the originals. I purchased them direct from Halcyon and they were very helpful. After I described and sent photo's of the original Triumph bar end plug fittings they supplied adapters in lieu of the standard expanding mandrel which normally goes inside standard bars. I reduced the overall length of the adapters so as to make a neater fitting and clamped the mirrors directly to the original end caps. Halcyon also supplied two longer stainless steel 6mm socket head screws to which I dabbed a touch of thread lock.
Initially I was going to fit a brass pin to each adapter to engage with the existing slot in the bar end fittings so as to prevent the mirrors from coming loose but that would have meant modifying the original end caps so decided against that idea. I don't think that wind pressure will rotate particularly the offside mirror as I have got both mirrors pretty tight. Time will tell.
The quality of the mirrors is superb and they are British made. What more could you ask for !

The Halcyon webpage will give you all the details. The mirrors were approx., £40.00 each complete with end fittings in lieu of the standard expanding mandrel. They are significantly cheaper than the triumph mirrors. I sent photo's of the T120 bar end plugs as fitted by Triumph so they now know what is required. I did have to phone Halcyon to make sure as to what I needed and the guy I spoke to was Andy who was very helpful.
After reducing the overall length of the end pieces as supplied I did not use the star washer that they supplied. I can fit that later if necessary. I will test them out on the road later this week .
Sorry but I don't like the look of piggybacking them on the bar end. I like the mirror, but would rather mount them directly to the bar for a much cleaner look.
I guess that means drilling out the plug in the bar (T120) ?
The video you linked makes no mention of drilling. That particular kit screws right into the threaded bar end hole and is the type you want.
Edit: I reread and you don't like how it looks when screwed into the threaded hole. In that case replace the bas entirely with normal ones that don't have the threaded ends, and you can use any old mandrel style mirror mounts.
Just as an aside, I have had these bar end mirrors on my 2011 street triple R pretty much from new, because the original bug antennae mirrors offered an excellent view of my armpits, and that was about it. Again, they made one off adaptors to fit the R bars. Faultless service. Excellent, quality mirrors, which don't vibrate and fold in for filtering and parking in tight gaps.
Yea, ok - I bought them with the silly adapter. They look good, in fact I really like them until I look at the mounting. Sometime in the future I will deal with the mounting by either drilling out or replacing the handlebars to allow them to mounted properly with the expanding bolt.
When lane-sharing I just move the mirrors in a notch, which you can't really do on some of the other bar end mirrors.
