ST Horn - where do these go?

I went to replace the stock horn with a Denali mini soundbomb, but the Denali is a bit too large to fit where the regular horn goes. When I took off the stock horn these two things fell out. I don't know where they go. Without them the horn is even quieter than normal. Anyone know where they go? And for that matter, how they stay on?

my ST horn is bolted to the frame with a flat bracket , cant see those parts anywhere. You sure they didnt come with the new horn and you've just forgotten.
Positive - they flew out from somewhere as I was taking the stock horn off. Literally flew out, so the pressure of the nut was holding them in place. Just gives me an incentive to make the new horn work. I'm in New York City where the ambient noise simply defeats the standard horn.

Thanks very much for looking - greatly appreciated!

They might be part of the "suspension" or rubber flexible mounting system horns employ. Without such a system the horn won't sound right as it'll be absorbed by the bike's frame.

If you grab the horn body and try to waggle it about you should feel some free movement if the flexible mounting is intact.

Thanks all - the parts will remain a mystery. Even Triumph USA had no idea what they are. As for the diminished sound perhaps I overtightened it when I put it back. Will check that tonight.

I'll send photos of the Denali when I figure out where it's going to live.
