I will never trust a magnet bag again, maybe this don't apply but I had one blow off a bike at speed ,by the time I pulled over I had just a glimpse of a Hundred cars obliterate it along with mine and the wife's cell phones,my wallet, and both our sets of keys.NOTHING survived.
But yours is nice.
i like the look of this companies gear but pricing is in oz dollars(if your in oz)
then when you go to purchase its in INR dollars which is a bit strange to work out
unlike when i purchase from USA,EUROPE,UK,when i know what it will cost me with exchange rate etc,
so approx what did it cost you USA dollars with freight !!! i ask this because when i look at oz pricing the prices are very reasonable
The Trip Machine Company website allows you to select the currency you're using, including US dollars, and makes the conversion for you. The Tank Pouch is $41.80 USD and the shipping cost will vary depending on the method you choose.
I must admit it's a perfect size and looks the part and would look good on the thruxton r also,,,it's just those dam magnets,,,please tell how much effort is involved in pulling it off ,how much lbs (approximately) of force to pull it off ? have you traveled at any kind of speed to test its hold ?
Thanks for the heads up on that bag. I like it and will probably get one for my Street Twin since my current mag bag has ears that hang down and visually mess up the logo. I will probably put a grommet in the curve of the top flap, and then rig a security line around the stem - a loop on the inside with a small caribiner would make it easy to remove if you wanted to carry it off the bike.
My practice is to always carry critical items like my cell phone and wallet in a zipped pocket in my jacket or pants. Far less chance of them heading off on their own.
well as long as u have a screen... shouldn't have issue with the wind...
however I have other thoughts. will my handphone survive the magnets? will it have such a magnetic field of concern.... have a givi case that sticks on with magnet. however the magnet have tabs that extend out... so the magnet is not directly under the bag
Just ordered via paypal which I assume will do the currency conversion for me prior to confirmation. Also ordered the leather grip wrap (for a Sportster Bobber project) and a belt.
Looks like quality work at a reasonable price. Will write a follow-up to hopefully confirm that when delivered.
I wrapped my Street Twin stock heated grips with their black leather and love it. I ordered more for my Bobber. Post picks when you get your stuff and install.
Any issues with scratching? I have been hesitant to buy another tank bag for that reason. Had one on my previous bike and you could see the tiny scratchs all over the magnet area.
Maybe using 3m clear film? Those look perfect for my needs since I have a net on my seat. Maybe the OP has word?
