Hi all. I think I need a screen for the beast (T120) even though I like the riding naked. Just to take the load off the body. I know from a lot of reading on here and elsewhere that some like the small screen, some the Marlin screen and some other screens. I don`t want a great big one that is hard to remove, so the Dart looks like the obvious choice. So....who here has tried both and what is your conclusion. Esp any 120 owners.

I have a Bonneville SE Newchurch which fits the same Dart flyscreens as T120, and I'm 6ft. I first bought a Dart classic flyscreen which was great, took a load off my torso (no more being blown off the bike) and wind noise was not too much for me. Then I bought a Marlin when it came out, I thought I'd use the classic in the summer and Marlin when it was colder. In practice once the Marlin was on it stayed on. It gives just a bit more protection (but much appreciated), and the wind noise is similar.

Some riders prefer the look of the classic, I've gone for the added protection of the Marlin. Both are brilliant screens for me, they both made a big difference to highway riding.

I have both the Classic and Marlin screens. I use the Marlin for longer trips and the classic for just putting around. I bought the Classic first, if I had the Marlin first I would probably not got the Classic because once installed the look is not that much different between the two. I find the protection is better with the Marlin. Both good well made products with easy installation.

well I waiting for my Marlin to arrive... jus ordered.

when I owned my scrambler previously, I have a lot of wind blast abv 120kph, and its a torture for fast rides.
so I got the dart classic. and it was great! I can blast to 180kph and hide within the wind bubble just a feet abv the tank.

now with the T120. I change the brackets to T100 ones (T100 and T120 shared the same setup) and transfer the classic over. same effect. and good for speed.

getting the Marlin to try if can get a slightly better coverage for longer rides. which is just a easy screen swap when I need to.

hopefully, usual small rides around and to work, I will keep using the classic.
and long rides , hopefully the marlin will give me a better comfort ride feel while crusing.

Just installed the Dart Classic on my 2017 T120. Great quality, looks super and wind protection is better than expected. Air blast over the screen hits about neck level. I'm 6' tall and there is no helmet buffeting. Love it.

I have tried both the Dart Classic and the Marlin on my T120.Both screens concentrate the wind blast to the helmet and I have found that there is less turbulence without either. A riders overall height is academic . It is the seating height of the rider that is an important factor. i.e. the height from the bum to the head. Whilst both screens deflect the wind blast from the torso, it is deflected higher into the helmet.I am 5' 10" but with shortish legs and a longer back.
An expensive mistake.

The height of screens like Clearview are given from the top of the screen to the lowest point over the headlight. I have found on the Rocket or T-Bird, that the stock 19 or 20" touring screen allows me to look over the screen to a point on the street 50' in front of the bike. This is the criterion Clearview uses to help you determine what height screen to get. The 20" Triumph Longhaul screen is measured from the seat, so I'm hoping that while it could be be shorter than screens I'm used, it will be higher than the Marlin.

By the way, this Longhaul screen directs the wind directly into my face. Doesn't matter with a full face helmet and at low speeds but on the highway for long hauls, it's too short. Parabellum makes a shield about 4" higher. I doubt I'll get it since I don't spend that much time on the highway.
