Man, that seat is nasty! Even with Air Hawk pad + sheep skin. I guess it's the shape of my skinny ass but this thing is torture.
Corbin makes a replacement but it's the non-passenger variety; the "Street Fighter".
Has anyone here had the same issue and found a good alternative? Is Triumph's bench seat any better per chance? It seems to me seat is designed only to look good rather than feel good.
I rode about six hours yesterday and overall, I like this bike - except for that horrible seat and the bars being too far forward for my arm length. :frown2:
Brakes and suspension also need an upgrade but those can wait 'til later.
That looks really good, and right for the bike. I don't hate my stock street twin seat, but I do find it near impossible to move back on it, it sort of slides you into the tank.
Give Corbin a call. They should be able to take the Gunfighter and build it as a gunfighter and lady. They make one for the T100-120, so scooping out the hump should be doable for the ST seat. Plus gain 2" in seat height.
I went to my dealer and tried every seat they had in search of something better than the ST seat. The bench seat was way too hard and flat and the T120 seat felt too wide at the front and I was concerned about the piping around the edges becoming an irritation. I also thing the ST stock seat looks right for the bike. For now I'm just dealing with it. The stock seat seems to be breaking in or my butt is conforming
If it comes to it, there is a reputable seat maker nearby who I will approach about restuffing....the seat that is.
I took my Street Twin OEM seat to an upholstery store to add some thickness. It added about a half inch to the seat height, but now I can ride if for hours without experiencing discomfort.
