Hi all,I've been researching the new bobber. At first I wasn't too sure about it,but it's growing on me.
Good reviews very positive. Can't seem to find any info. on the weight it can carry, Im 6-1 at 290 lbs
Apparently the mono shock isn't adjustable.Worried at my weight it could be a problem.Im going to the dealer soon to check it out. Any heavy hitters out there care to chime in?:grin2::grin2:

Worse case scenario: You have the shock re-sprung and valved to a heavier wieght and matching damping. You'll need to do the fork to match.

Best case scenario: You crank up the shock preload and enjoy. Preloading the spring does not change the rate, but will help maintain the proper ride height.

non adjustable shock is my understanding too. Justified by bike being solo rider dedicated (no need to increase preload for pillion) and no luggage carrying capacity(!) ... though there is a flaw in that argument!

I had a Bobber for the day and thought the suspension was pretty taut, I'm ~200lbs and it felt like it could be a bit softer for me. 290 may be pushing it, you'll only know by trying it.

It does look cramped when you see other people riding the bike....the other day I saw one for the first time ride by me, it didn't appear as if the person riding it was overly tall/large, but they seemed to be very cramped and looked "too big" for the bike....it looked very odd. It may be that the single seat makes it look like it is more cramped than it actually is and you are "stuck" in that position.
