Nice. You've even got the kneepads on as well as the spoked hoops. No thought of adding a grab rail? To my mind it adds a little balance...and makes the pillion end of the bike a bit more habitable.
With a bit of luck given this bike is made in Thailand (not sure where the spoked wheels are built) they may have addressed the furry rust issue of "foreign climes"?
When will spoked wheels be available? They've been available since the bikes release but have been a relatively well kept secret as Triumphs IT contractors who fettle the "Configurator" section of the Triumph website had problems showing the bike shod with spoked wheels (in either black or standard chrome). Off the top of my head GBP500.00 for a pair of standard chrome wheels & GBP650.00 for a pair of black chrome...plus fitting (if required) and you had to add in a pair of tubes as the spoked rims don't let you fit the tyres up tubeless. There are aftermarket spoked rims for the Street Twin that you can run tubeless but I think they may be a bit blingy.
Require tubes and heavy, no thanks....unsprung weight bad. If you're going to spend $1000 might as well spring for another $1000 and get some light weight tubeless spoked wheels. Hell, they may be even more than that though lol.
The speculation is that Triumph are working on a MkII version of the spoked rims for the Street Twin and these will be able to be fitted up tubeless. I'm not sure how much difference there would be between a spoked and standard wheel version. I doubt the average Street Twin rider will be your atypical speed merchant type who is going to be fretting about unsprung weight and/or gyroscopic effects...they're going to be concerned is aesthetics and safety which makes sense given their demographic. Cheers.
Looks a little different now, but this is the best pic I currently have
