Street Twin vs Sportster 48 vs Victory Octane vs Bolt C-spec. Triumph won all the marbles. Most fun and enjoyable bike of the bunch. Includes bhp and torque dyno comparisms. More standard features, lightest and smallest. Print media only.
Read that last week. It was a surprisingly good review and outcome for the ST. And to think I was thinking of dropping my subscription. I guess there actually are some smart folk at Motorcyclist Magazine. Ha, ha...
I read that one too when I got my copy in the mail. That's what got me to consider the Street Twin as a viable option. I'm still more of a T120 Black fan though. Plus, I think I prefer to upgrade to the 1200 engine, even though the new 900 is apparently a far cry different from the 865 I'm used to on my now dead Speedmaster.
As we know, the Street Twin is the only 900cc model available as of now vs 1200cc Bonneville, Bonneville Black, Thruxton and Thruxton R.
We'll likely see 900cc T100. Scrambler and Bobber for 2017. Could be a 1200 Bobber, too. Then there's the so-called Cup model supposedly coming out, too.
IOW, if undecided btw 900 and 1200. might be best to wait until the 2017 models debut.
using the 1200 Bonnie would a more correct comparison IMO, guess they didn't want to shame the others!!! the ST like my 2012 mag wheeler is pretty "compact" riding position, the same engine in the taller 1200 setup would be better for taller riders for sure, but to each his own!! i tested a scout but its poor brakes + suspension put me off, the Octane although similar adds 17" wheels for better rubber selection as both polaris bikes come with cheap sheet kenda tyres! they are both fast with big top end HP but less power where we mostly ride unless drag racing

Agreed. Especially when it comes to the Scout's suspension. I came dangerously close to buying a 2016 this past winter. The Indian Red Scout (only model with ABS and not available without) did however stop on a dime.
