electrical problem?
Help. My 82 Bonneville seems to have an electrical problem. At 12.5 volts on the battery it starts and runs. But a little ride down the street and the voltage has dropped to 11.5, then it starts cutting out. Checking the voltage at the battery while reving the engine shows the battery being charged by tenths of volts, in other words, the voltage increases somewhat. I just spent $2600 on it from an 8 year sleep, the battery and zener diode were replaced and I was assured by a good restoration shop that all was well after they rode it for 200 miles. I want to ride the damn thing.
