Do I own a TR6 or what

I just bought a 1963 Triumph Chopper. It has a single carb, otherwise I don't know of distinguishing items to look for. Which style engine do I have? Is their a aite that tells all? Thanks

The VIN tells what the original configuration was.

The " DU2877" is the only ID. I have found. I only have the Engine W/ Rigid frame.

Take the VIn# find a dealership and let them do the research for you. They should be willing to do this, you need a place to service the bike this would be good customer service and possible future buisness for the dealership

Nowhere on the serial number pad do you see TR6 or T120R?

That's a pretty low number.

Most of the engine parts are common on the Bonnie & Tiger/Trophy, except the head & manifold, mainly. There may be differences in the cams and transmission gears, but everything else is exactly the same.

Been a serious lack of anyone pointing toward this lately. So after
a great many minutes of searching. Well Taa-Daa!

If the model isn't stamped on as well. Then I don't know what to tell ya.
Looks like you've got a 63.

Since it's a single carb, you can ASSUME it's a TR6 (Trophy) or 6T (ThunderBird).

Shrugger listed what gave me the info on my Engine. It confirms what I said DU2877 is a good # and it is the only one on my main case " left side " so its a TR6 trophy or a Thunderbird 6T, well do I just pick one or is their anything that can confirm a pick?
