led bulbs on positive ground

I've been using 1157 LED bulbs for years and they outlast regular filament bulbs 100 to 1. You must rewire for instance the rear brake switch to ground for the LED to work. Current only flows one way pos to neg in an LED. I get the red LED 1157's in cheap 2 packs at the chain auto part stores. It saves carrying an extra bulb in your pocket.

from what I understand LED's are really only visible from almost a straight on view while the 1157,2057,3057 or correct bulb Lucas #380 (6/21w) are more visable from the side.and straight on.
Commment?

By the way what is the power draw on the LED's?
