Triumph clutch setup/repair/adjustment videos

Hi all
This one goes with my gasket video, As I was doing a long awaited clutch overall
I got out my camera, this is the first of probably three, when I have done the Head hitting
the four spring center is not std, I replace with the correct three spring, with adjuster (yippee!)
So here's taking my clutch off, its high! mileage and used fairly hard most of the time
.. acceleration..luvly!

Thank you!

Plewsy,
Your videos are an amazing resource. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to make them. I know it's no easy task, and probably quadruples the time it would otherwise take to do any of these projects.

Tonight I lift a glass to you!

Cheers!
Joseph

And a hearty Cheers! too you to Joseph
Wait till you see the next one putting it back on, I still cannot believe what I missed,
I spent about two hours putting the clutch together, getting the camera just right,
and all the way to putting the pressure plate on......... and then and only then did I see,
I had left the studs out of the cush, needles to say I turned the light off and went to bed,
so thee next one is complete with out take and expletives .

Thumbs up

Hey Plewsy, I bloody wish i had sen this when you posted it 3 days ago, I was trying to get the plates out of my 66 Tbird and was making all sorts of comments regarding the manufacturers heritage and lack of wedding vows between their parents. Two little magnets, pure genius. well have learn't something today, so it was worth getting out of bed.

I am having a hard time getting my gears from second to third to fourth, have pulled the gearbox apart replaced a couple of things and it looks sweet, just cant get the gears. any ideas.

Hi diggerdigzit, and welcome to TR.
I did all my cursing when I put the clutch back on,
only I was calling myself
Is your problem only going up the box?
Take a look at the quadrant Pawls and springs for wear,
and make doubly sure the quadrant is exactly in the right place on the camplate.
when you assemble the box, put the camplate in the first gear position,
then when you put the middle case on let the quadrant drop down
then slide the case on,
the quadrant may need a little wiggle to get the first tooth engaged, and push/tap fully home.
With a bit of luck, job nearly! done.

Hi Plewsy. I'm anxiously awaiting your video on reassembling your clutch. When's it going to happen? Keep up the good work!

Hi bum,
I have just finished the editing, I have to get it shorter than ten minutes
I have included the one major blooper
I will try and upload it around now
And I have a third of setting the clutch up, I am working on.

Genius. You should make a complete rebuild video. I'd buy it.

Plewsy,
Your reaction at the end is priceless! Thanks for not editing that out.

I first found your videos on Youtube and have watched all of them. Thanks again for all the good work.

Cheers!
Joseph
