Well I did the famous flip/switch on the Thruxton this morning, then took the bike for a 120 mile mountain ride (Southern California does have it's perks!)
It's quite a bit more comfortable, and I left the clip-ons under the top clamp. This forum rocks!

I have been thinking about this mod also, and also to fit below the top plate in the original position, as I don't like the looks of the ontop fitted ones.

Can you grab your camera and take pictures from front, sides, riding position and the front/right side from an angle? I just wish to see how the below top plate fitted flip/switch makes the Thruxton look, if it looses some of the "mean" clip-on cafe look...
