progressive 440 HD shocks

Just got my new shocks last night and can hardly wait to put them on this afternoon and test ride my Bonnie. Any hints on things I should look for or do while I take the old stock shocks off?

Swapping the rear shocks is straightforward enough - just take the time to check and clean everything in the vicinity really.

Do one at a time, grease the stud that the shock bushing slides over, that's about it, unless the bushing is the wrong size.

Good advice. Progressive sends a bunch of different sizes on the bushings. I'll use the same all purpose greese I used when I took the front wheel off to do the gaitors.

PS I have the Union Jack brake reservoir too. It's the most important modification.

Also the easiest and one of the least expensive mods I've done. Also, I like it. I see it alot from on top of the bike. Kinda cool, if you know what I mean.....Well, off to the garage....

What a great mod!! The ride is super and the wife loves the comfort over the pot holes and bumps. I don't know why I waited so long to swap out those old shocks!!
