Shifting up out of 1st or down into it produces a clunk that is not present with the other gears. I thought it might be due to the fact your skipping over nuetral, is this normal?
pardon my noobness if this has been covered already!
don't worry about it. they all do that. i did notice that it was a little better after adding amsoil 20w-50 at the 500 mile service. really the only thing i have noticed with the trans is that sometimes when downshifting at a stop it doesn't always want to go into first without moving the bike a little forward. usually only happens if i try to downshift really fast. otherwise perfect as all triumphs are! keith
Yeah they do do that. On freshstart- you can break the bond on the wet clutch before going into 1st by reving the engine in neutral / clutch in a couple times & idle down , then shift in to 1st. Makes a a BIG difference!! Thats the "biggest " clunk!
