Ikon progressive front springs-length

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone knew if the ikon progressive spring kit that you can order is the same length as the stock setup. I guess I'm asking about the spacer length--and if it needs to be cut down.

thanks.

searched.....

Okay, so I did a search on the site---and I apologize for posting something that's been covered before.........BUT---I had Ikon progressive front springs installed at the shop. They must have taken the old springs and spacer out and put the ikons in...because I feel like the front of my bike is much taller now. I had them put the preload adjusters from the thruxton on also.

Should I pull everything out and cut the spacers?

Are they causing a problem as they are now?
I like the additional height on my bike. Preload feels fine.

They should be setup so that you are using up about 30% of the 120 mm travel of the front forks. At least that is what you'd use for linear springs. So 36 mm sag between jacked off the ground and you sitting on the bike. The stock springs usually don't allow for the right sag. They are too soft, so you get too much sag and the front end feels lower than it really should. This is why you feel you are higher up now. You are. Likely 1.5 cm less sag from stock due to the stiffer spring and preload.

Set your preload adjusters mid range and see if you can get the right sag first. Adjust the spacer tube lengths accordingly to get it otherwise. If you really want to feel lower again, you can loosen up the triple clamps and drop them about 1 cm down relative to the top of the preload adjusters...but no more.
