'04 Bonnie won't start
I pulled both the Bonnie and the '05 Thruxton out of storage last week. The batteries were on tenders all year long while I was away on my business trip. Thruxton fired right up after putting the battery back in and changing the gas. The Bonnie, always more difficult to start, gave me a bit of trouble, but after a new battery and new gas, started up after a couple cranks. This was last Thurs. Yesterday I went out to take it for a test drive around the block and it won't start. I checked the plugs which were black and oily - probably not good. Hoping this was my problem, I pulled the plugs from the Thruxton. Still not starting. I've swapped the coil from the Bonnie to the Thruxton and it starts. I've swapped the box under the seat over to the Thruxton and it starts. The Bonnie is still a non-starter. It does crank and passes gas - definitely a strong odor of gas in head. The tip over valve isn't clogged. I just can't think of anything else. Any ideas out there? I'm supposed to get a mechanic buddy over today, but with the division change of command going on today and our re-deployment tasks this afternoon, it's looking to be a long day at work.
