I suspect you are correct.

Unfortunately, though, I think it's all you need to get the frame past inspection in my state.

Just got a call from the delaership service manager. He had called Triumph to tell them that the head bearing installation didn't fix it -- and that the fork inspection yielded nothing.

The shop wants to move on to swapping the ENTIRE front end with a showroom bike that rides perfectly. Triumph wants them to inspect the head bearing races (!?!?!?!?!) before they proceed. They must have zero confidence in whoever manufacturers the head bearings on these things.

I tried to call Carleo at Triumph USA again just to keep the ball rolling. It turns out that he isn't in until Monday. Come Monday, it will be exactly 30 days since the bike went in the shop -- which is all I need to qualify for the lemon law here. And by Monday, we should know if the front end swap fixed my bike.

One way or the other, we are closing in on a resolution. If I knew it was going to take so long, I would have suspended the insurance on this bike. Very, very frustrating stuff, this.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Don't you have any law over there that says 'goods sold must be fit for the purpose intended'

If the bike doesn't work then they should give you one that does.

Same as if you bought a washing machine and the drum didn't revolve you would take it back for exchange.

Stupid here(me) didn't read your last post about meeting the 30 day limit for the lemon law.

You may qualify under your state's lemon law by amount of time in the shop for a single problem.
I would be looking into that as an option.

I know that Colorado has criteria that you have to meet... number of visits, days in the shop/ over a certain period of months for a single problem. Then you go to arbitration, then court, then they give you a new vehicle.

If you start making noise about the lemon law, I will bet that the dealer will move with more purpose.

The good news here is that the latest info is that the problem is fixed - we are all happy to hear it, and anxiously await Dangermouses posting later on tonight or tomorrow verifying this.
