Unhappy 07 Bonnie will not start

Well after 1,200 trouble free kilometres, I went to start my 07 Bonnie Black this afternoon and it will not start.

I had not run it for about 6 weeks and it has just sat in the shed for that time.

The engine spins over nicely, there is fuel coming out of the fuel tap and all the dash lights are on. I have tried starting it with the choke on and off and the throttle wide open and closed - nothing.

The stuff they add to the fuel here in Europe tends to clog the jets and can even "glue" the carb floats into a fixed position. Whenever I won't use a bike for some time I drain the float chambers or leave the fuel tap open (Risking to flood my shed with gasoline. Good thing I quit smoking years ago).

07 wont start.... I m guessing another faulty pickup coil.Mine made it to 4000 km before failing, seems I was lucky, most go before then.

Like Amanger said the pickup coil can be a common problem, it seems like it is typically a coil, pickup coil called the ignition pickup or ignitor/cpu (hopefully not that). But first just check all of your electrical connections and make sure they are tight and moisture free.

This thread has some info.
