headlight modulator

Given my brittle old bones I'm reluctant to take any (more) spills. I installed a Kisan signal minder a while back and I'm very pleased with it & it's safety features. I see they also make a headlight modulator...anyone have one? Good idea/dumb idea?

I have them on a couple of my bikes, and think they're worthwhile. They do, I think, get you noticed, which is half the battle. A bit pricey, but quality is good and they install easily. Overall, I'd say worth the money.

Thumbs up Signal Minder

The best safety investment I have EVER made on any bike!! No one is perfect & we all forget some times to not cancel!! Now- not to worry!! It can kill ya in a heart beat. A car comming from the right & turning sees you are turning when your not- not his fault! You are indicating you are! It has probably saved my life a # of times & I dont even know it? Nice to know something is looking out for you!! Wouldnt have w/o it now!!

I installed one on my america and it makes a difference. I posted this same question several months ago and got mixed opinions. Flashing of your headlight may mean for someone to go which was brought up. I have found more positive than neg.Mikey

headlight modulator

I have a headlight and taillight modulator on my Bonnie Black. The taillight unit I think works great, however I had a close call about three weeks ago with the headlight unit. Approaching a car entering the roadway on my left, the car was stopped I thought waiting, she sees me so all is well, something tapped my shoulder and I slowed down and sure enough, at 25 feet away she pulls out in front of me. I followed her and when she stopped at a convenience store down the road I pulled up along side and asked her what the @#$% she thought she was doing. Her reply, I thought you were flashing your light for me to go. So, be very careful using the headlight modulator. The Brit bike club I belong to has reported several accidents in the New England area from confusion with these headlight modulators. Craig

The preceding story is the same as one that was related to me when I considered the headlight modulator, so I decided against it.

I added the kisan headlight modulator, its worth it.

When approaching a congested merge, intersection , i go high beam. Its a safe than sorry step to be seen. It works, as most seem to look at the light.

say no more.
