2008 Bonnie tank badge replacement

So I ordered a set of sixty8 cast tank badges only to find out when I got them in today that the '08 Bonnie has stick on badges and the new ones only work on 2007 and previous models.

I don't mind the look of the stockers but really want something that fits the look of the bike a little better for the direction I'm heading with it. Now that I've got Ohlins on the rear, am going to put Excel 17" rims on soon, and possibly might switch to a digital dash, I'm thinking I want something a little more custom looking; either old-school charcoal-gray Triumph stickers, or possibly one-offs in a more modern font. Here she be, sans Ohlins:

What say ye?

This may be the ticket; the gold towards the bottom would match the Bonneville logos on the side covers as well as the Ohlins piggybacks:

I gotta tell ya Brother.....that sucks! One of the selling points of my Scrambler was knowing that I could upgrade my tank badges to the retro Mouthorgan type that are offered in the Triumph catalog. It really bites that Triumph had to redesign the tank on the 08's in order to fit the EFI module. Its going to be interesting to see if they start offering another tank badge line for post 07 models. You could always try a decal I suppose...maybe even come up with something of your own design and have it custom made.

I was planning for new badges myself. Wanted the cast ones with yellow for my '08 Black. Was gonna order them when I pixcked up the bike but my dealer said they changed the tanks for '08 to prep for the FI next yr.

!

Eureka... the holes for the cast sixty8 replacement badges are UNDERNEATH THE STOCK STICK-ON BADGE! I've successfully pulled one of the stockers off to verify. Now just need to get some Goo-Off and clean it up so I can mount the new ones. Glad I didn't ship them back.
