Head Shake/Front End Wobble PART 4 (Update)
I just got off the phone with the garage. I was on hold for 20 minutes. Nothing puts me in a better mood than being on hold. I just love sitting around paying long distance for nothing. It's just so rewarding.
So they have not even looked at the bike for well over a week. Not at all.
They tell me that **maybe** they'll be able to look at it this weekend.
"So it isn't likely for me to have my bike back for this weekend?" I ask.
"I wouldn't count on it."
It's been in the shop since late June. I bought it in early June. A few more days and it will have been in the shop for the majority of the time since I bought it.
I just effin' hate this. I have never in 40 years been treated more shabbily by any company. It won't be long before I don't even want the bike back at this rate. I almost hope it goes to the lemon law stage because sticking it to Triumph is rapidly becoming more appealing than owning one of their products.

I dont know if it is as much Triumph as just some of their dealers.
Our local shop sell BMW's also and when you walk in the door that is all you see, they have a few Triumph's stuffed in a little room off the back corner of the showroom.. when the wife and I went there all excited about triumphs thay looked at us funny and pretty much seemed to snub their noses at Triumph.. had a hard time even getting ayone there to talk to us about the T models.. and that turned out to be a mechanic who was nice and seemed to like the bikes. Anyways' we bought our bike 160 miles away at a dealership that also sold Ducati.. 50/50 showroom and showed real pride in the Triumph name. Its a long way to drive for service but that is where we will take it if something major is ever wrong.. to people who care. It makes a difference.

Sadly, it's been both. I've been dealing with Triumph directly on this, too.
As to the dealer, Triumph is the only new bike they sell, so...

Same here, thats why I drive to the the Greensboro dealer instead of our local dealer here in Charlotte.

Just took my sons 08 Street trip in for a bad head shake / wobble and it was a bad front tire.
Apparently there has been a couple other bad Dunlops at my dealer as well.
Bike now with a new Metzler M3 is rock steady.

suggestion
If it were me and I wanted to ride, I might suggest to the dealer that if I buy the tires, would he put them on in good will.
At least this would get you past the tires possibility, Triiumph did say it could be the tires,,,,,could get you on the road for the weekend
Just a thought

Make sure they don't try to stiff you with 'storage' charges for having your bike there for longer then X days, or if it is a Warranty issue, the charge should be going to Triumph. There is a shady dealership around here that screwed a guy out of 2 grand and never even looked at his bike.

Honestly, I doubt they'd even get to that by this weekend. The bike has been sitting for almost two weeks without them even looking at it.

Wow, your experience has thus far been sickening. You buy a bike wanting to ride it not be sitting in a shop. I really feel sorry for your experience. Funny the nearest triumph dealer to me is closing for good and the next closest dealer is like 100 miles away.
