You could try a pair of Pirelli Sport Demons on it to rule out the rubber. The dealer should be doing something like this for you.

Yes, they should. They aren't, but they should. I can't even get them to LOOK at the back of the bike, you know? I can barely get them to answer the phone.

I was thinking about getting some Sport Demons. Do you have them? I honestly prefer the look of the LaserTecs, but hey, if the Pirelli's track better, I'm sold.

The mechanic told me he was "hoping" to get to the bike this weekend. Neat. It's been sitting there for almost two weeks and he "hopes" he can get a head bearing in in another week or so.

These bikes are very cool looking. I love the brand image. I really get the heritage thing. But man, if ANYONE ever tells me that Triumph stands by their product or that they are a "good company", I'm just going to burst out laughing. They are a good company just so long as you are giving them thousands of dollars. The second THEY screw up, you go to the bottom of their priority list. I was all ready to be Mr. Triumph. Now people ask me where my bike is and I'm almost ashamed to say it's still in the shop. "Isn't it a brand new bike?" they almost always reply. It's frankly kind of humiliating. And if there's one thing I'm sure of, Peter Carleo doesn't care about that at all.

a friend of mine went thru New Hampshire lemon law with her 2007 Daytona 675. The dealer seriously f-d the bike on a warranty repair, she hired a lawyer, and it was done in less than 4 months, from' dead bike' to 'I got the $'

Obviosly your state is different, but you should be able to get them to eat it.

Of course the other option is to take it home and sort it out yourself, granted you shouldn't have to do it on a new bike, but you could.

Of course YMMV.

Once you get it sorted, you'll like the bike. I hope that you post a summary of your experience and name the dealer over in the dealers section.
