Many othter things can cause wobble. bad swing arm bearings, etc etc. The dealer MUST find it for you. Triumph must find it for you. This is a some what dangerous situation and both the dealer and the company can be held as responcible should injury occur.

Have them give you a new bike. Get you local consumer advocate involved. Do not settle for the status quo.

And don't let anybody telll you it is your fault. It is not.
Just to absolutely clear, that video is not of my bike. It's just a video I found on You Tube of a bike that is doing the same thing as mine. Mine is that bad, though. Matter of fact, I've got some pretty bad inflamation in my left shoulder from it.

My Thruxton has a head shake between 70 - 90 kmph then it goes.
All good except thats my normal cruising speed ....not so good. I was wondering if any theories onthe rim being out of wack might be applicable ?

cheers Staf

Just a bit of moral support, Dangermouse. There's no way that that headshake is "normal". That is dealer BS, and the idea that the set up, tyres or whatever are designed for British roads was excreted by the same quadruped.

I've ridden my bike on the roads of the UK, Spain and Portugal, all vastly different, with no such experience, and I had never heard of such a problem until I read your threads. In fact, reading your comment about shoulder inflammation rang a bell with me, because I have a long-standing shoulder injury from playing rugby when I was younger, and I wouldn't be able to ride if the bike suffered from the headshake you mention.

Don't let up on this. You'll probably have seen by reading the plethora of threads on this site that most people love these bikes, so you're dead right to feel that your bike's behaviour is unacceptable. Good luck, and keep us posted about future developments!
