Aftermarket Fuel Injection

Guess I'll be waiting for the 09 Bonnies here in the states......But it occurred to me: Is there an after market Bonnie-friendly EFI setup similar to the Whitek EFI setup for Harleys?

The Whitek replaces the Harley's carb. Since the Bonnie is dual carb, uh....is there a method of converting to single carb? Then, maybe attach the EFI?.... (This is just a theoretical idea - like I said - I'll be waiting for the 2009 models....

I'm not aware of anything at all on the market for that - I don't think there would be any call for it.

Wouldn't EFI also require a different gas tank with room for a fuel pump?

I'm not aware that any of the mainstream Bonnie aftermarket suppliers sell EFI kits. This guy fits "Megasquirt" systems to his turbo dragbikes and I believe he fitted one to a standard Bonnie owned by a guy in England. His name is Joergen and he posts here (and on the NTBF) from time to time. If you were interested he could probably help you out. http://www.stabbarps-auto.com/welcome.html

Yes, this is an idea allright....
Since traditional carbs seems to have done it in trems of future newproduction "zu sagen"....it would be nice with DIY convesion kits.

You could look at purchasing the parts for an 08 FI system for a Canadian or British bike. Cost would probably be prohibitive. Require tank, fuel pump, 02 sensor, throttle bodies, wiring, ECM, programing etc etc etc.

Well set up carbs are going to be just as good as EFI. Its really hard to get rid of the on/off feel at low revs. with EFI on a large twin.
