Exhaust ticking on '08 Bonnie Black

Hi all. My friend has an 08 Bonnie Black and when she shuts it down after a lengthy ride there's a ticking noise that seems to come from the exhaust system. Anyone had this problem?

I'm willing to bet it's the metal parts contracting as they cool. Nothing to worry about.

X3. i'm surprised you haven't noticed cars and trucks doing this. it's heat related.

Love that ticking noise... breaks the silence when you stop and admire the view Maybe it the perfect soundtrack for a biker movie

I suspected that's what it was because I have indeed heard that noise from cars. My T-100 doesn't do that though.
Thanks guys!

If my bike STARTED making any sounds,I`d get concerned, but like your`s,its NEVER,EVER made ANY sounds after shutdown.I was concerned when I didn`t hear any cooldown noises like all my other bikes and vehicles, but have just come to accept that the Bonnie is a superior piece of machinery.

With all the crappy weather we`ve had,I`ve been doing a lot of mods that I had earmarked for next winter. My buddy gave me these yesterday to mess around with. Some nice UJM 4into2into1 headers and a huge [but featherlight]can. Those three 2into1 collectors are already calling to me,but I "stretched" the frankentank this morning,in prep for the sealing operation and started a new seat pan to work with it.
