Bar Risers

I ordered some drag bars from Bella Corse and after reading a few posts on here I figure I'll need risers. Does anyone know a cheaper place to find them than New Bonneville. I really don't want to shell out $75+. I found some for a Monster on eBay for ~ $45. I think their bars are 1" too and these have the same shape as NB risers. Think the hole spacing would be the same?

I bought my risers from Bella Corse a little cheaper than NB and have never regretted it, finish matched perfect.

I've looked all over the Bella Corse site and I can't find anywhere.

I ordered these from Jims Spacers last night. $29 for risers, bolts and lock nuts> I like the looks of these better. The Genmar are too bulky for me.

I liked the look of Jim's Spacers, so I made a set myself. I turned them on a lathe from a lump of ally I had in my stores. I had to buy the bolts ($6.50 Au each) and had to file the heads down, as the Triumph bolts are a smaller head to fit inside the bar clamp.

The reason the bolts are so dear is because
a) they're high tensile
b) they're a fine metric thread, not commonly used, mainly automotive.

Haven't ridden with the risers on yet, but I'm hoping they might reduce the ache I'm getting across my shoulders.

I know what you mean. I bought the risers from Newbonneville, and when the package arrived, I felt like... Sucker!!!

They ARE nice, and work fine, but certainly not $75.00 worth. $35.00 or so would have been more realistic and less 'gotcha' factor. Plus the provided mounting bolts aren't even polished up to match the originals!

These are "forehead slappers", in that when you see them you slap your forehead and say "Jeez, I coulda' done that!".

Has anyone installed their Jim's Spacers on a Bonneville yet? I'm curious if there were any issues at all with lines or cables (including removal of tie down points or rerouting). Just looking at my T100 I'm a bit concerned about the clutch cable possibly being stretched too tight. Also were you satisfied with the results after installing the spacers?

My clutch cable was a bit tight from new (T100) so I removed one of the "ties" on the downtube to free it up. I've installed my 1" risers with no problems. Don't be scared to re-route the cable slightly if you have to.
