Question Stuck in gear :(

went to a party this weekend, rode up great. On the way back though the bike gears stuck.

I'd be ridding along and fond I couldn't change up or down. Stopping and letting it cool then rocking the bike back and forward and pulling on the gear leaver would eventually free it off, only for it to happen again about 20 miles later. Engine was over heating then because of running in low gears.

Clutch was free and if i pulled the leaver in engine would free rev and bike would coast ok.

seemed like the selector was sticking.

Anyone had anything similar ?

Dumped the oil when I got home and it was like water. New oil put in before the run.
