The Bonne pipes will blue no matter-. Past the 1st bend is where its supposed to stop.
w/ AI - will go all the way. Mine are irte on! Not indicate leanburn- just normal. If there is lean burn- the bike will tell you- not the pip-es. Yeah the jap bikes didnt blue much. My 305 wasnt double walled- just "good " stainless steel, instead of the crap chrome plated pipes on the stock Bonne.Blued slightly @ the 1st bend & then notta. a lot were dbl walled as are a lot of the bikes today. The Bonne is supposed to have some blue- its part of its heritage. The new crap steel they use is (unless well tuned & AI still there) gonna blue/ purple/ gold bad all the way! Mine (check em out Under album search capt don) do blue/ purple/ & some gold. Looks good. I use neverdull to clean the rust spots off them & it takes a lot of the gold off then. You can (if the bluing bothers you) get new "Real SS" header pipes! They will blue a whole lot less! My biggy is the "gold spot" @ the crossover!! Really looks outa place! I might put A HEAT SHIELD OVER IT JUST TO COVER IT UP?

i havent removed the ai system[i'mgoin to!] an have no blue pipes only very very slightly gold which polishes out! as yet after 3.000 miles approx.it pops on decelaration an the occasional backfire when starting, that can be fun!!or not![armed responce unit alerted!]its runnin fine as the sparkplugs indicate a healthy mixture jus bin around Spain lovely ride!!
