Epco Norton-type peashooters

Anyone out there got those Epco Norton Commando-type 'peashooter' mufflers on a Bonnie? I've always loved those mufflers-had them on a Triumph TSS 20 years ago-and I'd be interested in any reports on them; thnking of getting a pair from Mike at Bellacorse. Any thoughts, info on weight, sound, fit, durability etc would be appreciated - cheers, Pat

peashooters

hey Dr. Pat.
Not sure on Bellacorse's version but I have heard these Norman Hyde's on You-tube and they sound pretty nice.

I have a set of the 'low Bonneville' on the way (hopefully!)
Can't tell you much about them but here's a link to their site with a sound clip:

There is a clip of a Thruxton on YouTube, try a search for 'epco'.

I have a set of those on an 84 BMW RT. Quality and fit are excellent. Highly recommended.

They're actually slightly nicer than the ones I have on my Commando (which are Wassells)!

I just recently ordered the EPCO low set for my Bonneville and they should be delivered by the end of the week. If I can manage to get them installed this weekend I'll try and post up a review.

I really had my heart set on the NH Peashooters, but Hyde just couldn't deliver. After waiting about two and a half months for them to fill the order I simply gave up and cancelled it.

I recently got a set of these (upswept version) from Bella Corse. Look and sound great!! I plan on putting a sound clip on the exhaust sticky soon. You can buy from these guys with the confidence that they will take care of you if something is wrong. I, too, have delt with EPCO before for the BMWs and everything they make is top notch. Buy a set, save a hundred bucks, and keep your money in this country!!
Plus, they actually make me like the Triumph MORE than before, maybe because it actually sounds as good as it looks now. Not to loud, just a sweet, mellow tone. A little bit of a bark just as she fires off. I love 'em. stainless steel to boot.
Get some
Jer

I just installed a set of the upswept version too. Nice quality, but not THE best I've seen. I'd have to say the Predators are a wee bit better made. Sound-wise, the term 'mellow' seems to fit IMO as well. They remind me of Staintunes as a comparison for sound level/tone. Havent Dyno'd them yet - so no comparison on HP (yet).

Looks dept ... yeah, they definitely have the Norton Commando look goin on for sure. Way cool.
