New Exhaust and acceleration????

I installed Specialty Spare TT pipes, rejetted with 120 mains and 45 pilots, 2.5 turns on my 2007 Bonneville Black. I can certainly feel more power, however while riding on the highway today it seemed like there should have been one more gear to shift up to? I was going 65 mph with about a 1/4 throttle. There was additional power with more throttle, however it seemed like it was at a high RPM. Hope this makes sense, as I am still a rookie.

Any information or tips would be great. Thank you

If you haven t made any mods. to your airbox you are probably way too rich at small throttle openings with the 45 pilot jets.

I guess that you have not gotten a tach, yet. If your bike is broken in, just twist the throttle and go--you don't need another gear or a bigger counter sprocket. These motors like to be revved. I wouldn't pay too much attention to those that think the 45 pilot jets are too big, either. The big difference, IMHO, is the header pipes without the crossover. I had to run 45 pilot jets when I had the SS Peashooter system on my 790. As soon as I put the stock headers back on with the crossover pipe, I had to pull the 45 pilot jets.
