Scrambler exhaust on a Bonneville?

Is it possible to mount up a Scrambler aftermarket exhaust on a standard Bonneville? It looks like the right side panel would have to be modified or removed but everything else looks like it would work. Has anyone done this?
I'm riding my Bonneville on a lot on rocky dirt roads so I think an upswept exhaust & skid plate might be a good idea.

I'm sure you could. You need to check the mounting points if you go with the Triumph system, otherwise an aftermarket system should give you an alternative.

The right side cover is different and the airbox/battery box is different to support it. The brake reservoir is moved down behind the rear brake lever to keep it away from the heat.

Just go buy a Scrambler...

LRivers--where are you located? Maybe you could find a Scrammie owner that is looking for low pipes and trade them. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info & linkage. I'm in Denver. It looks like the N. Hyde system might just slip right on.

I was contemplating doing this as well, but it looks like it pretty much precludes any passangers due to exhaust burn. Anyone have know?

I have an OEM Triumph Scrambler system on my T100 and passengers have no problem.
I also have a Norman Hyde Street Scrambler system which is listed as "not for passenger use" and they are correct, too hot as the mufflers straddle the rear shocks and the passenger's legs will get burnt. NH do market a chrome recycled hamster cage as a heat shield but I have my doubts.
Couldn't give you an opinion on Arrow or similar systems as I've never used them.

I was looking at the arrow 2-1 system, although it is very pricey. The OEM would sound the same as stock Bonne and I'm mostly going for rumble. I don't want it if I cant have a passenger though, that was the whole reason i got the Bonne over a thruxton!
