air box removal + TOR's

Hi all.
I know, another Air Box removal thread!
I'm considering removing the air box, but I want to use the TOR exhaust pipes sine I like the look and they are not to loud.
I'm assuming the TOR's are less restrictive than the stock exhaust but more restrictive that, lets say, the D&D's.
I'm I totally wrong?
Is there a point to it in terms of power gain?

Thanks

JP

You're correct on the TORs. The point is more power. Less restrictive pipes + less restrictive airbox + proper jetting = more power (~5-8 Hp, 5-10 ft-lbs).

Why else would you do the airbox? No magic here.
