Hard Top Case Trunk on Bonnie?

Hi All,

I need to find a way to securely mount a hard top case, like a Givi trunk to my Bonneville. Has anyone ever seen this, or have any idea how to go about doing it?

Thanks,

-JD

Buy a Renntec rack and the GIVI base plate will bolt right on to it.

Yup, what Antique said. You need to get one of the monolock series. The mounting plate attaches to tubular rear racks. I'm going to order the e350. It's made for scooters, but will work. Another forum member has one mounted on his Bonnie. Maybe he will chime in.
IMO it's not gonna look too cool, but will come in real handy.

I just bought one of the following trunks from Cavalry-Custom on ebay. The decals peel right off and it looks pretty good. I needed that type that does not hinge on the front because I have a rack with sissy bar, MC resources, I think. I inverted the stupid phony antenna. It is plastic, not fiberglass, but seems pretty well made for the price. Cost is $55 + shipping.

I have single seat with rack in my bike, and I have mounted hard top case in to it. I bought one of those small Kappa boxes, which comes with monolock baceplate. It is quite ugly and definitely don't fit in to the bike's style, but it is easy to remove and really useful. At least in this case the usability of the bike runs over the look.

I bought the Triumph Scrambler solo seat with chrome rack. I then mounted an after market waterproof detachable box to it and wallah! Instant bagger!

It's not the most appealing/sporty looking set up but it allows you to stow a lot of gear securely and keep it dry. When you arrive at your motel, you can remove the entire box with the push of a button and carry it in like a suitcase.

This is what I am looking for. Does anyone know who makes this quick release trunk and bracket? Hammy?

top case

This case is on ebay. It has a quick release monokey system. There is a base attached to the rack and the case locks into it. It's a good size, I think it would hold 2 helmets.
