Question Oil Filter Wrench

Do I need a Triumph brand oil filter wrench or is there a generic equivalent? Thanks

No...go to your local parts store with the new filter in hand. Look for one that fits

I (and many others here) have used large water pump pliers to remove the stock filter the first time. Just hold the pliers 90 degrees to the filter and twist away. Who cares if you damage it, it's being tossed. When you replace the filter, just snug hand tight, then a little more will be more than tight enough to keep it on.

Remember that the oil filter wrench you need will depend on which brand of oil filter you use.
