Faulty Pickup Coils.....Recall

After a month of missing, stalling and refusing to start my 07 Bonnie is back at the dealers due to a faulty pickup coil or ignitor.
There have been so many reported cases of this its time for Triumph to do something about it.
What does it take ; someone to stall whilst overtaking or cornering and seriously injure themselves or worse.
Can you imagine if GM or Ford had a vehicle that continualy stalled, there would be a public outcry and imediate recall.

hey amanger
mine went bad over a longer period of time, intermittently. dealer would only do something when it failed outright at their place, which is fair enough i suppose

it finally died outright one night on the way home after work and i trailered it in the next day.

the aus importer was apparently jack of all the parts being replaced that turned out to be not faulty and decided to play hard ball on warranty claims. again fair enough, but when there is a known issue with a particular part as you've pointed out, it seems a little harsh to stone wall like they did.

I agree Amanger, Triumph should do something about these problems.

I had a coil fail on my Bonnie at only 700 miles, I called customer service in U.S. and they told me that they have never heard of a coil problem before (total BS)! I have had no problems with my Scrambler but plan on replacing the coils with nology and take my chance with the rest of the electrics.
