benefit of intake manifold on t-100

Does the addition of intake manifolds add much to better performance? Also which exhaust give the best performance vs sound?

maniflods wont give you much .I think preds ,buds and d&d are the best of the mid priced exhaust. If you want the biggest bang for the buck go do away with air box and put some good pipes on.

If you are referring to pod filters and removing the airbox- Yes- the engine will breath better,
and you will gain approximately 5-10 hp.

As far as performance, good gains can be achieved through many different "open" exhausts as well. Again, approximately another 5-10 hp.

A lot of people will probably chime in, but I personally like the B.C. Predator exhausts.
I have Emgo's fitted now and really like them, but my dad's 06' Bonnie with Preds. felt like it put out a little more torque. Probably since they are reverse cones...

In stock form my bike put out 51hp and 40ft lbs of torque. After re-piping, removing the air box and replacing with K&N filters and tuning the carbs I'm at 66hp and 50 ft lbs of torque. Not bad....
