I bought a small GMC compressor some time ago, used it with a framing gun, air chisel, spraygun etc. And guess what, it blows up tyres too!

Best thing I bought for it is a retractable air hose reel, mounted on the wall (cost more than the compressor!!!!). I just fire up the compressor, snap on the inflator and away I go, don't have to worry about unravelling hoses.

However for the car I just recent bought this:

Craftsman 120 volt inflator

This thing is fantastic, it will fully inflate a flat car tire in a couple of minutes, it weighs almost nothing, it's quiet, and you don't have to wait for a compressor to fill up. Plus the gauge is actually pretty accurate (as long as it's turned off). If you don't have a compressor and don't plan on getting one for a while this thing is a great solution.
I have the Sears one as well, works perfectly!

Thumbs up Inflator

Looks like mine Hedge BUT I think you got it a little off. That looks like a 12 VOLT plug??
Yreah they work great & the guage is pretty accurate!

I just use it for air; for the tire pressure I have a really nice Moroso air pressure Gauge.
